7 Benefits of Article Marketing

Many business owners spend lots of time trying to get articles published in magazines and publications related to their niche. While this is one strategy, publishing articles online has, as I have discovered from personal experience a number of specific benefits.

1. You set the schedule

Articles can be submitted any time you like. The article banks are open 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. As a result you get to submit articles when it is convenient for you rather than being constrained by publishing deadlines.

2. Speed

Articles submitted to article banks are available to readers immediately. In those cases where there is a review process, it is normally completed in a few days. This means that if you wanted to you could have 5 or 10 articles on an article bank within a week.

3. Perception

When you start to publish articles online you start to build a reputation as an expert or authority on particular topics.

4. Web site traffic

Article banks generally allow you to include a short description of your business and a link back to your web-site which helps you get more web site visitors.

5. List building

Most people who have a web site are selling either products, services or both. When people come to your site having read your article, you can capture their details in return for offering a free e-course or report. These subscribers can become future customers or sources of referral.

6. Search engine rankings

I don't claim to be anything other than someone with basic knowledge of search engines. What I have learned that backward links help with how your web site is ranked by search engines. Articles are an excellent source of backward links.

7. Others use your articles

Since I started using article marketing, I have had a number of approaches from other sites wanting to use my articles. This helps build more exposure for me and my business and can do the same for you.

Clearly there are many ways in which you can market your business and if you enjoying writing and sharing your knowledge, article marketing could be a valuable part of your marketing strategy.
