Another way Firefox can aid productivity
As I’ve mentioned from time to time in articles, some art and color have a direct effect on the brain and mind, resulting in lower stress and higher levels of pleasant stimulation. In short, they can make us feel better, more upbeat. The more upbeat we feel, the more productive we are likely to become.
The folks behind the Firefox browser have recently developed skins for Firefox which they call Personas. They’re much easier to use than their themes and there is a good size gallery of simply beautiful Personas available. Like everything for Firefox they are free. But even better, if you are an artist or photographer, you can make your own. And who knows better than you what makes you feel good?
If you haven’t updated Firefox recently, get over to the Mozilla site and get the 3.0.10 release and then get some Persona personality over at getpersonas.com.

It’s just a crime

Career and employment articles and links
This was a week I focused more on employment and career development than on trying to get a mix of articles covering management, career and personal performance. If you’ve been reading the articles on the site over the last few months, you’ll have noticed that I have been leaning toward publishing more in the way of career and employment. I can’t look at the unemployment figures without wanting to try to add something to the effort to help folks get and improve jobs. I figure part of my job is offering resources to improve skills and performance in job hunting. (If you want to see more articles on career and employement, be sure to look in the Superperformance.com® Articles Directory under that category. Remember, there are over 1,000 articles on this site.)
As part of my contribution, I published an article of my own on a job-getting technique I found out about a little while back: how to get noticed, networked and hired by giving classes (workshops, seminars) and positioning yourself as an expert. You’ll find that in the list of articles below, along with the guest articles I published this week.
But if you want some excellent help, job listings and advice, be sure to check out Yahoo’s HotJobs career center. And don’t miss QuintCareers.com. You’ve probably already been to Monster.com and CareerBuilder.com as the top job boards, but if you haven’t yet tried Indeed.com, you’re missing a bet.
